Tales of Embodiment
Tales of embodiment was a series of workshops with a fabulous group of women from the New Lodge that culminated in a sharing with the public- an exhibition using images, video, sound score and a live performance element- playing bingo in an art gallery.
Funded by Goethe Instiut and commissioned by Catalyst Arts in October 2020.
I had no idea what work we would make when I first met the women. I knew I wanted to explore the idea of memories and story-telling.
It naturally evolved and the women led every aspect of this project. They welcomed me into their weekly Bingo and quiz nights and the trust grew from there.
We created an exhibition and had a sharing open to the public. Have a look at the trailer to get a sense of how it all went.
